More questions?
You absolutely, positively do not need to have any movement or exercise teaching experience to enroll. In fact, many people who take the training go from a desk job to teaching pilates. we’ll fill you in on everything you need to know to become a confident and prepared pilates teacher, ready to teach in a studio or your own private space. We ask that you complete 3 sessions prior to the start of training and allow 2 weeks to complete the sessions. These classes are included in your price.
We know that the virtual is all the rage these days, but we firmly believe that you can’t learn to teach a three-dimensional human body by looking at two dimensions on a computer screen.
It’s very important to be in the studio to see people moving in front of you so you can decipher the subtleties, and that’s why we’re 100% live.
We believe that virtual training has its place, but not when it comes to learning how to become a new teacher.
However, you can supplement some of your observation time by watching online.
Each day at the studio consists of question-and-answer time on what was covered in the previous module, one or two movement sessions to review exercises already learned, and plenty of time to do, observe and teach the day’s new exercises.
We want you to familiarize yourself with the movements in your own body and teach them to other trainees before practicing them yourself or teaching them to others.
There will also be lectures and discussions on how to become a better teacher!
There will also be breaks and time for lunch.
Great! We love teaching beginners. But we do ask that you take 3 pilates sessions before the course starts and allow 2 weeks to complete them. That way, you’ll have a solid foundation in pilates before the training begins.
It really depends on how quickly you complete your hours of observation, personal practice and teaching.
As soon as you’ve completed the training program and teaching hours, you can take the final exam and become a certified pilates teacher.
The training is designed to be completed in 30 weeks, but you have up to 9 months to complete all your hours and pass your test,
The job search begins! You have the opportunity to be interviewed at one pilates. If that’s not your choice, we’ll help you prepare for the interview and find a job so you can find the pilates studio that’s right for you. we want to see you succeed, and this is a crucial step in the process. we’re here to support you every step of the way!
Many people take teacher training just to develop their personal practice!
Access to the one pilates studio is included in your fee – all hours of observation, personal practice and teaching… no hidden costs! You can use the studio for your personal practice with organized schedules and you can bring friends and family so you can practice teaching. your fee includes 15 hours of group lessons to keep you on track with your personal practice time.
Is Pilates instructor training right for you?
Find out if you have what it takes to become a Pilates instructor.
I discovered Pilates over 18 years ago. I was working as an accountant, I wasn't happy at work and I was trying to find a balance between my professional life and my family life. Pilates brought balance to my very unbalanced life. I became stronger and freer in my body. I wanted to share this new-found freedom in my body with everyone, so I decided to become a Pilates teacher. I quit my job and converted to teaching Pilates. Instead of dealing with spreadsheets and administration in my old office job, I now receive welcoming smiles from members when they walk through the doors of our studio. Most importantly, I've created a schedule that allows me to live the life I want. I believe we all deserve this opportunity and that teaching Pilates is a great way to achieve it.
